Privacy Policy
Effective October 21, 2026
iFellowship is an invite-only app that helps members of a church connect, make friends and message each other. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to write it plainly.
Who we are
iFellowship is operated by SPECTRE LLC, a Nevada limited liability company (“we”, “us”). If you have a question about this policy or your information, email support@ifellowship.app.
Who can use iFellowship
iFellowship is only for people 18 and older. You confirm your age when you create an account. You can only take part in a church after its admins approve you, using an invite from that church.
Information we collect
We collect only what the app needs to work:
- Your account: your email address, your name, and if you add them, a username, a short bio, a profile photo and an avatar color. We also record that you confirmed you’re 18 or older.
- Your church: which church you belong to or are a guest of, whether you’re an admin, positions your church gives you (such as Deacon), and who invited or approved you.
- Your connections: your friends and friend requests, the groups you’re in, the people you block, and the chats you mute.
- What you send: the messages and photos you send, when they were sent and read, and messages you unsend (see “How long we keep information”). “Typing…” signals are passed along live and not stored.
- Your settings: such as who can start a chat with you, read receipts, and whether notifications show message text.
- Reports: reports you make, and reports other members make about you.
- Technical information: sign-in sessions on your devices, a push notification address for each phone you allow notifications on, the date you last used the app, and basic logs our hosting provider keeps to run the service securely.
We do not collect your phone contacts or your location, and we don’t use advertising identifiers or track you across other apps or websites.
How we use it
- To run iFellowship: sign you in, show your profile, deliver your messages and photos, and send notifications.
- To email you sign-in codes and codes that confirm important actions, such as deleting your account.
- To keep members safe: blocking, reporting, and helping church admins review reports.
- To fix problems and protect the service from misuse.
We never sell your information, and there are no ads in iFellowship.
Who can see your information
- Members of your church family can see your name, photo, username, home church and positions, and can find you by name or username (unless they’ve blocked you or you’ve blocked them). Guests aren’t listed in search.
- Chats: only the people in a chat can read it. Group messages can be read by everyone in the group.
- Your church’s admins can see your church membership details, join requests, and some safety signals (for example, if several people declined your friend requests). They do not see your private chats.
- When someone reports a message, the admins who review it see that message and up to 10 messages before and after it in the same chat, including any of those messages that were unsent, so they can understand what happened. They never see the rest of your inbox. Reports about a church’s leaders go to the church above it, or to SPECTRE LLC.
- SPECTRE LLC can access the service’s data to operate and support iFellowship, review reports sent to us, keep the service safe, and meet legal obligations. We don’t read your messages otherwise.
How your messages are protected
Your messages are encrypted while they travel between your phone and our servers, and our providers encrypt stored data. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted: our servers can read them, which is what allows reported messages to be reviewed. We may add end-to-end encryption in the future and will update this policy if we do.
Companies that help us run iFellowship
We use these service providers, who handle information only to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare: hosting, our database, photo storage and live message delivery.
- Resend: sending sign-in and confirmation emails.
- Expo, Apple and Google: delivering push notifications to your phone.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a transfer of the service to another organization (which would remain bound by this policy).
How long we keep information
- Your account information is kept until you delete your account.
- When you unsend a message, it disappears for everyone right away. Its text or photo is kept hidden for 30 days, so a report can still be checked, and is then deleted.
- When you delete your account, your profile, photo, church membership, friendships, group memberships, blocks, sign-ins and notification settings are erased right away, and photos you sent are deleted. Messages you sent stay in other people’s chats, shown as from “Former member”, so their conversations still make sense. Reports about messages are kept for the church’s admins, without your account linked to them.
- Our database provider keeps short-term backups, so deleted information may remain in backups for up to 30 days before it’s gone completely.
Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile, photo and username at any time in My Profile.
- Choose who can start a chat with you, turn friend requests and read receipts on or off, and hide message text in notifications.
- Block, mute or report anyone.
- Delete your account in My Profile → Delete account, or by emailing support@ifellowship.app from your account’s email address.
- Ask us for a copy of your information or to correct it by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights; we’ll honor requests as the law requires.
Children
iFellowship is not for anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we’ll delete it. If you believe this has happened, please email us.
Where information is processed
We’re based in the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above, and if the changes are important, we’ll let you know in the app before they take effect.
